Sunday silly

Daddy went to work today. He got home and started goofing around with Nadia. Mommy was putting the dishes in the dishwashing machine, and he just lift Nadia and pretended to put her in that machine. Nadia loved it, she asked for more and more.

Training pants

Since last night, Mommy started to potty train Nadia. She has already have interest in potty train for a while. Since 1 year old, she has been poop in the potty every morning. Lately she would just say poopy, then when mommy put her in the potty, she would pee pee or just poopy. Sometimes, she said :"Pee pee, all done!!! Yay!!!", so in this case I would ask : "No poopy ?" She would say :"No poopy, pee pee, yay!!!!" Then she would ask : "Wash the bump, mommy!" Then mommy washes her bump with soap and water.
Last night, daddy stayed with Nadia because he was so tired coming back from work and declined to go to the party at Nadia's mommy's friend's birthday party. So Nadia stayed home with Daddy because it's a late paarty, it was almost Nadia's bedtime. Daddy caught Nadia hiding under the table, so he got her in the potty, she peed and pooped there. She didn't want to get the diaper on, she asked daddy for Training pants, and wanted to put on herself (this time daddy helped).
Mommy got home almost midnight. She met really nice brazilian mixed couple and nice Italian decent Brazilian there at the party.

This morning, Ammar wnd ent to go to work, he is covering the consult at the hospital for the whole months, so he is working every single day, even saturdays sundays until March 20. Then mom got the phone call, he locked himself out and asked mom to get him. So Mom grabbed Nadia which is wearing the training pants in the car, drove to the downtown dexter, in the car Nadia peed in the pants. Mom got panic. She drove 15 miles above speed limit (45 MPH), then she saw a police car parked on the other side of the road, mom realized she was really speeding. So when she saw the police car started to make a U turn, she just stopped on the side of the road, waiting for the police car. Ouch.. this is not good.
The policewoman (oh No...!!! but she is so pretty) came by the window, smile and said :"Ah, so you know you are being pulled out ?", and mom said to her :"I know.. it is really not a good day for me.. my husband called, he got locked out, and he really needed to go to the hospital soon, then my daughter peed in the pants..."
so we both looked at Nadia, Nadia with the booger in her nose (she just got bad cold this morning), smiling at the policewoman, and said : "HI!!!!"
The policewoman said to nadia :"Hi, sweetie!"
So Mom gave her driver's iicense (thanks God, I almost didn't bring my wallet with me since I am in the pajama, both Nadia and Me), insurance card, & registration.
Sari has clean driving records for the last 6 years... so while waiting for the police to check my driver's license, mom cleaned up Nadia's booger.. and asked her to pray for the police not giving us speeding ticket... hahaha
Sure enough, the policewoman came back and said : "You are all set", giving all my paperwork back.. she said :"next time, be careful"
YAY!!!! No Speeding ticket....
Mom laughed at Nadia and said : " Thank you for peeing in your pants... !!!!" Nadia laughed back at me.
So we drove to daddy's car, opened the car, let daddy go to work.. and drive back REAL SLOW, Nadia with the wet pants....

Lounger

While waiting for mommy cooking dinner, Nadia just comfort herself with 2 pillows, watching movies. Today, there is something different about her behavior, she stayed still watching Dora until the end, and really saying what Dora asked her to say. It seems that she could comprehend the whole movie, the stories, and the whole characters' names. She used to just understood just part of the movies, but now, she watches movies like an adult, don't even care even mommy took a snap on her.

Ladybug

We played in the sunroom today. What a beautiful day. Nadia found ladybug, she loved ladybug. Not like her daddy who doesn't even want to touch ladybug, she plays with it.

Rhino

This is Rhino, the puppy, Nadia's friend. She is 6 months old.

Broken comb

Tantrum. Nadia had tantrum today.. wow..!!! I think because she was so sleepy.. she still have jetlag, and after school, when mommy picked her us, she just had the melt down in the car, with no reason... rightaway after we arrived home, mom put her in bed, she slept like in 10 second. She slept so much for a nap time, 4 hours!!!!!
She woke up so happily, her hair was a mess, so after potty time, we played in mommy's room, while mommy comb her messy hair, then she found something on the chaise we sat. She asked : "Mommy, whazzat ? (what's that ?" I looked at it, it was a small pin, pinkish color.. and I had no idea what was that. So I said to her :"I don't know, Nadia.. it's trash"
So I played with her, then hold the her comb again, while I am playing with her. So sudden she said : " Mommy, put it back!!" She was still holding that pink pin, pointed it on the comb I was holding... I started to realize that that pin was belong to the comb,. the comb's tooth.... So I showed her that part was really belonged to the comb, then she said : "It's broken, Mommy". I said :"Yes, Nadia, it's broken"
I was so surprised how she could connect little thing like that.. and know which of which belongs to each other.
I noticed that when we played alphabet puzzle, she could put the pieces in the place, just comparing the shape of the alphabet, but not something like this. She was not even 2 yet.
I know all moms think that their child is smart.. but I think this is really something that I should put it in this blog and cherish it to be remembered in the future.

fantasy forest with bella

We miss Bella and Middy so much, so we decided to have playdate in the morning at Fantasy Forest, and we also wanted to give Middy and Bella the stuff we bought from Hawaii for them. Middy was so nice making all this DVD movies for Nadia, to make our lives easier on vacation.
Nadia didn't want to wake up in the morning, she kept lying down and sucked her thumb (she usually only suck her thumb before going to bed, that's all), so I told her that Mommy was going to see Bella and Middy at Fantasy Forest. She usually got excited and nervous when I left her.. no, she didn't care. Mommy took shower, got dressed, she still lying down, sucking her thumb on the chaise in our bedroom. So I put her in her crib.. She went back to sleep. I was so worry about her. She never acted like that before. I thought she was sick. Called Middy, to delay our playdate after she woke up. Nadia woke up happily. She ate so much for lunch and we got ready to go to Fantasy Forest. The place was so nice. Nadia, mommy, Middy and Bella had great time. Nadia was so energetic, she tried to climb everything on these 2 treehouses, tried to chase Bella, hanging like monkeys on the robe... she liked it a lot, then at the end, we played at the soft playground for under 3 area. Bella built tower, and Nadia just so happy being with Bella. She also immitate Bella drinking from water fountain.

Her brain started to get straighten up.

Remember how messy the toddlers when they play ? For the past 3 weeks, Nadia has been organizing her toys around. This is one of her masterpiece.

Boo boo is getting worse!!!

Today, Nadia went to school, she handed the gifts from Maui to her teachers, too bad, her favourite teacher didn't come, she was in Texas to see her grandbaby so we saved the gift for her until she is back. Nadia was so nervous in the classroom, her teacher reported to Mom when she picked her up. I think having both parents for 10 days all the time, made her nervous to be left alone in the classroom without any of us. Jetlag ? That's a possibility.
Remember the small boo boo she had on her left palm ? Well, she wanted the Barbie bandage all the time and she woke up from nap, crying for help, Mommy rushed to her room, thought that she was injured, it turned out that the bandage came off and she tried to put it on, crying painfully. She acted as if she was so injured without her "Barbie boo boo", so Mom gave her another one. She played happily then. Affter dinner, Mommy put her on potty, then when she washed her hand, Mom took the bandage off without her knowing, after finished, she realized that the bandage was gone, she cried frantically. So mommy had to wrap her little hand with other kind of bandage.. she was so happy being injured ... Oh my God. haha. Before bed, we took the bandage off, she was fine. Toddlers are adorable, aren't they ?

Hey... I miss my home.

We just arrived late night last night from Maui and LA. Nadia didn't seem to have jetlag. She missed her bed badly. She also missed her the big TV. Daddy had to work today even it's Sunday, so while waiting for him, she asked mom to put on the DVD, she loves watching her video clips mommy took last year on the big screen TV. She laughed and laughed to see herself being tickled, etc.. she asked mom to keep repeat playing it. She also asked mom to put on her "Barbie boo boo". She had boo boo when we were on vacation, she made sure the bandage won't fell off.

Movie Star

She loved watching her own video as if she is a movie star.

Kahului, Maui

Morning at the hotel, she is fascinated by the movie. Mom and Dad could pack peacefully. we headed to the Shopping center nearby after breakfast. The shopping center is awesome, we found lots of fresh fruit and vegetable stand. Sari got so excited that she found "Rambutan" (her favourite fruit, exotic fruit, only in Southeasts asia), and we also bought "lengkeng", all kind of vegetables and fruit.
We headed to Lahaina, downtown Maui. It's a lay back small shopping center, full of kiosks and stores, restaurants, activities, etc. Nadia was hungry, so we stopped at McDonald's. There, she was the center of attention from the locals there, she even being friends with the group of Japanese locals who loved Nadia so much. She would give one of the grandpa high five several times.

LA to Maui

Nadia slept on mommy's lap almost 3/4 time for the flying time from LA to Maui. We arrived in Maui and stayed overnight at a small hotel in Maui near the airport, just to rejuvenate before we headed to our vacation suite. It was almost night. We ate nice dinner at the hotel, Nadia was so hyperactive, busy playing with her small animals. Her favourite ones are "lumba lumba" (dolphin) and starfish. She loves saying lumba lumba. Sari taught her a long time about dolphin, when she saw the dolphin, she just said lumbalumba instead of dolphin. We learned that if we went straight to the suite, we would just waste really nice place just for sleeping at night.
We had great time at this small hotel, walking on the beach in the morning before we headed to the vacation suite at the famous Kanapaali Beach in Maui.

Yay, no more jacket now.

In the rented car, she was so happy, it's hard to be strapped in the car seat with winter jacket on, right ? Yay, I am free.

We are on vacation

Morning was busy before we departed for our vacation. Nadia didn't go to school today. We went to the airport at 1 pm, after dropping Ammar's car at the shop for the scratch he did of the reason of being so tired at work and bumped the pole in the parking lot.. Nadia was so panic to see that we went on separate car, she kept saying :"Daddy... WAIT... Daddy.. WAIT!!!!!" when she saw daddy's car flew out of the garage and went on the street so fast. We had so many errands before, so we divided the errands in 2 and met each other at the car shop, then go together in Mommy's car to the airport.
What a relieve that we finally have the real vacation. The weather was so nice, 50 degree in winter when we left.
Nadia loved her attached seat, she just sit there nicely when mommy carried her around in the airport, she also loved watching the plane taking off from the windows.
What a great traveler, she made friends with the girls who are sitting down in front of our seat. They made us really nice drawing, and Nadia loved the drawing. We shared the movies together. They are family on vacation to Disneyland in Annaheim, CA from Toronto, Canada. We arrived at Four Seasons, Los Angeles to stay overnight, just to break the flight trip in 2. Nadia loves riding on the plane, she loved to see the window when the plane takes off and lands.
For the first time, Nadia slept on a big adult bed, by herself. She loved it, being tugged in the real blanket... we had 2 queen sized bed in the room, so we didn't ask for a crib. She had hard time to go to sleep so Daddy cuddled up in bed with her until she fell asleep.

Hands On Museum

She was so good, walking 3 blocks away in a very cold and windy weather from parking to the museum. Too bad her playdate didn't come. She loved the stairs which make notes CDEFGAB every time you step on it. We also checked the red room which Nadia will have the birthday in. So, we had a blast just the 2 of us. It's our last day in Ann arbor for this week. We are leaving tomorrow for vacation. Yeah!!!! No more cold weather.

Balloon Gone !! (Baonggone!!)

One day, we went to grocery store, she got a helium balloon. The cashier didn't really tightened it on her wrist, so it was windy, mommy was busy putting the groceries in the trunk, when she said : "mommy, balloon gone!", when mommy saw, the balloon was already fly way up high. The whole time she would say : "Balloon Gone.." For days and weeks, she kept saying "Balloon gone, and then becoming "Baonggone" which mommy didn't understand until she realized it was balloon gone.

So today we went to the grocery, an old guy loved nadia so much, he took his time to make sure this time the balloon won't fly away from her, she was so happy, she gave him a kiss and said thank you. Whatta sweet little girl. She was so panic when it was windy, she didn't want to walk fast, she walked so slowly and watching her wrist... making sure the balloon wouldn't fly. She took a nap with balloon, when daddy came home, daddy teased her and took the balloon away from her so she would reach it high on the ceiling.

Snowday !!

Squirmy little Nano McDonald's

Nadia stayed the whole day at the school today. Whatta big girl!! Mommy was so worry that she wouldn't go nap at school, so she brought all her sleeping attributes, and she even stopped by just to deliver her lunch... guess what ? McDONALD'S !!!
When mom passed her school, she saw the whole classmates were riding the Boogie stroller, it fits like 8 kids at once, and Mom spotted how happy Nadia on the ride.
What a busy day, Mom ran around between stores just to get ready for vacation. Finally she got Nadia's wetshoes, of course, she got her new Aidan's replacement (Aidan is her teddy bear she loves, it was named by Nadia's best sister in MA, Syifa (6 yo) because she said it's just the flipped name of Nadia, What a smart girl). Nadia loves her teddy bear, and as soon as mommy tried her new shoes on, she put her old shoes on Aidan, gave him book, and had him drink her SODA!!
Today, is crazy. Nadia who's always a mellow girl, turned out to be a very energetic girl. After a relaxing bath with mom (Daddy plays tennis with neighbor, tonight), mom couldn't stop chasing this naked little girl just to towel her, put the lotion, diaper on, pajama on, brushing her hair, brushing teeth, and the last one : FLOSSING!!!! FInally it's over. Mom got so tired afterwards!!!!
Talking about FLOSSING, it's been a week since mom introduced her with flossing (when mom bought the floss for Nadia, daddy laughed at mom saying that she wouldn't like it), the first time mom flossed her teeth, she just loved it... she loved it even better than brushing... so mom feel so good that anytime she eats like candies or soda won't make the CAVITY... being a dentist/orthodontist makes mom so obsessed with Nadia's teeth.. hahaha.

Story time day and Paper Shredder shock

Today is the story time day at the library. Nadia had a great time, she loves the story time, then of course she got to pick her DVDs to borrow and played with other kids in the kid's room full of children's book and the toys around.
Daddy came home early, he was sick, so he took the nap. Nadia and mom had to play quietly, sure enough, she scream, and mommy said : "No, Nadia... Daddy is sleeping, shh...", not once after she scream anymore. She understood.
After dinner we played in the office room, Daddy prepares the tax return, mommy put Nadia to watch movie on her little DVD player, then mom shredded some important paper on the shredder, then when daddy was talking to mommy about the account we had, we both heard something, the shredding paper.. it was NADIA!!!.. She was watching DVD and she suddenly saw a paper on the top of daddy's table, she grabbed it, put it on the shredder... We both had a heart attack... thanks God, it was not THAT important paper... it WAS important paper, but we got the copy of it.. it's our car insurance card that has to be put in the car... PHEW!!!! What a smart little girl.!!!!

It's a school day and afternoon playdate

At the school she has the picture of our family, which was taken on Thankgiving, so she could look at it if she ever misses mommy and daddy. Her teacher told mom that she didn't let that photo go the whole day, so when mommy pick it up, she didn't let it go, too. so we had to borrow it until Friday. At home, she brought this laminated photo into her bedroom, took a nap, woke up, get this picture, carried it with her everywhere in the house. We could tell how mcuh she loves her parents...hahaha

She had a great playdate at Milla's house today. Milla is a friend from Gymboree class. What a wonderful play time, she loves Gustavo (Guga) 5.5 years old, Milla's brother and she enjoyed playing with him and Milla. Everyone left except us, so we got home pretty late at 8 pm and she went to bed happily.
