Playdate after photoshoot with Zoe and Georgie

After a successful photoshoot (Yeah, I am surprised that my daughter turned to be a true photo ham... I turned her to be for the enormous amount of photos I have been taking since she was born), we decided to go with Zoe to Fantasy Forest. Zoe and Nadia don't go on Tuesdays to school so we were free after the photoshoot.

Nadia had a wonderful time that people kept saying how nice her dress was.. and she enjoyed playing as if she rode choo choo train with Zoe. The playground was really packed from bigger rough kids, so we ended up playing in the under 3 area... much saaver. Georgie missed his nap but he had a wonderful time, too. Zoe is such a sweet little girl, she loves playing with Nadia, they hold hands on the way back to the car and heading for McDonald's.. . Yeah! McDonald's!!!

At McDonald's they continue playing on the playground, after the traumatic experience on the big slide, Nadia afraid to go down... and she kept making turns on the high tubing... so we had to ask Zoe to get Nadia down the slide.. she did.. "Zoe saved Nadia!!! Good job, big girl!!!"

A 32 year old Mom made dress has worn by 2 generations

I just stole Middy's photos in her blogspot for Nadia's post 2 days ago since I got trouble posting it myself... Thanks Middy!!!!

Okay, let's tell about the a very heart touching story about my very old dress which my Mother made and designed herself when I was about 3 years old. She used to make our pretty dresses, from play dresses to fancy dresses for all her 3 girls. I still remember that this dress is one of my favourite.... and I cannot believe that my daughter, wore it today for the photoshoot at her school. Everyone thought it was a cute little dress and Nadia really loved it, too. She spent some time admiring herself on the bathroom mirror before we headed to the school today. Here are the series of her pictures being shy and happy when I said she looks cute and checking herself out in the bathroom mirror...

We went to visit my Mom about 2 years ago when Nadia was only 9 months old, and my sister showed the dress which belongs to me and she told me her little girl wore that and it was awesome. I decided to bring it back to the States and keep it until Nadia can wear it. My mom kept some of the masterpieces, laundered them and keep them in a plastic bag, and it really looks still new regardless of the age of the dress now.

For me, it is very sentimental moment, because I really miss my family at this time, and I realized that I really had a wonderful childhood having a Mom who stayed home with us and a very talented Mother, too. I wouldn't be able to make such a pretty dress like that.

Mom, if you read this... I love you so much.... You are the best....!!!!
Can't wait to bring Nadia again to visit you in November.... and bring you along with us back for a visit.

Oh yes, after the photoshoot, we went together for a playdate with Zoe and Georgie.

Playdate with Bella

On Sunday, Bella came over with her mom, Middy. She was ready with her portable studio lighting... it was fun to see her taking pictures of the kids with the camera... awesome camera....!!!
Bella and Nadia definitely are like soul mates. They love each other big time. It was really nice to see them play together despites of their age difference (Bella is 4.5 and Nadia is 2.5).
We ended up not to put Nadia to bed just because she has so much fun playing with Bella. They ran around the house, jumping on every bed in the house, played hide and seek, drawing together, dance, and Nadia loves immitate Bella, including eating 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. For the first time, she ate that much of ice cream.
Until finally Middy decided to go home, and Bella was so sad, she loves Nadia so much, and soon enough after Bella left, Nadia played by herself and kept asking about Bella. Bella also gave her a phone call, and they both chatting to each other. How cute.
Bella is such a beautiful and smart girl.
Nadia was happy the whole day until bed time. She just LOVES her.

Nadia the kitty cat is now afraid of kitty cat

Today, the roads in our subdivision is being asphalt, so we got warning that it's better not to go out of the house. She we stayed. Our neighbor accross the street from us just lost her father in Pennsylvania. We found out that they were back. So I decided to come by to give our condolence, at the same time, Nadia loves June and Terry, and Clinton (fortunately, he, the son is on vacation from college), so it's great time just to hang out with them.
They have a house cat, DC, very friendly, but also loves to play. Nadia, who has been a kitty cat for the last 2 months, decided to get more friendlier and friendlier with DC... until finally she kept chasing him under the table, and she scratched Nadia on the hand. I thought DC doesn't have any paw anymore... but actually she still have the nail on the back legs which I didn't know.. we were having fun, so sudden we heard Nadia cried... so she got some boo boo from DC because this poor kitty cat is also scared because Nadia was getting wilder on her... so June washed her boo boo and put neosporin and bandages. She loved the bandages and stop crying, and said to me : "June fixed my boo boo, Mommy, Mommy doesn't fix my boo boo... " So I apologized to her and said that June is better than Mommy.
We had lunch there because we ended up had to wait because we couldn't cross the road as it was in the process of being asphalt.. and then every time Nadia sees DC.. she got so scared... We tried to explain to her that DC was scared at Nadia... don't be scared at DC.. still doesn't help..
Sigh.. now we have to work on loving a kitty cat again....

The sweetest girl, ever!

This morning, after drinking milk, Nadia sat on the chais in our room, watching TV and put her pillow on her lap.
Mommy call me to her, and put her head down on the pillow, and said : "mommy is sick, Nadia"
She answered :" mommy sick ? Uncle bill will come here, Mommy"
Then she asked me to keep putting my head down on the pillow, for about 5-10 minutes, she rub my hair, gently.

Uncle bill, her favourite, who lives 1.5 hours away came to visit her when she was sick... she got so excited, that's why she told me that uncle bill will come if mommy sick.. maybe after uncle bill came, she felt better....

At the end of her sickness day... messy.. messy

Today, for the second day Nadia stays home with Mommy. She has been sick since Sunday morning.
I have been so proud of her for being potty trained, she didn't even have a single accidents for the last 30 days, even on the night time.
Today, I was so proud of her that since she has been sick, she has been still a very happy girl. No complaint, she just kept sipping for cold water.. Guess what.. I think she has a sore throat on the top of her runny nose.
She loves her thin big girl underwear and we had a lunch date with Middy and Bella. Nadia had a wonderful time with them and I told Middy that Nadia is potty trained, proudly.
After the lunch, Mommy decided to buy her present, we stopped at the Learning Express toy store. I was kind of heard Nadia said : "I want to go to the bathroom" but I was not sure, since it was crowded and noisy, and usually she said :"I want to pee pee.. not going to the bathroom". Then about 2 minutes after, Nadia looked down... and I realized, she was peeing.. I was frantic, we went out right away, paid for her toys, and she asked me that she needs to be wiped... I told her.. In the car, nadia...
I changed her in the car, thanks God, I got a change of dress for her, and another 'underwear'
We went home, put Nadia to bed with 'big girl underwear'. After 1.5 hours sleeping, I heard nadia woke up...
I checked on her, usually she is as very long napper... she wet her bed!!!!!!
ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
I hope after today she learned that she cannot wet herself. I can tell that she was really uncomfortable because she is a true "CLEAN FREAK!!!""
I have to clean her hands several times if she eats just because she doesn't like to be dirty

Oh well, still, I am in love with the girl. No matter what happens, I love her, So much.

This is how she response when I say this to her :
Mommy : "Good night, Nadia "
Nadia : "Good night, Mommy"
Mommy : "I love you, Nadia "
Nadia : "I love you, too, Mommy"
Mommy : "I love you so much, Nadia "
Nadia : "I love you so much, Mommy"

Ammar went home from work, he got sore throat, runny nose.. he said it is really bad, so we both are so proud of Nadia that she must be THAT sick, and still .. she is not a complainer.

Passport

I got my passport in the mail today. So Nadia and I have the same passports, one passport to knock down (Ammar's)..!!!!
We are not too much of the United Nations Family now... (We used to have 3 different passports in the house)

Quote from neighbor :
"You did a better job than he (Ammar) does"
I said : " Oh, don't tell him that!!!"

This happens since I sometimes cut the grass and does some yard work when Nadia goes to school, I thought I did a good job, better than Ammar, but Ammar doesn't think so. I have been not feeling well for the past 3 weeks, so Ammar does everything on the weekend, poor guy... I didn't do any yard work at all, even Mom asked Bill (who came last week), just to pull out some weeds from the mulch surrounds the house in return of a favor cutting his hair.
This neighbor, Terri, he used to be a farmer, his yard is wonderful, so I can be proud of what he said.. hahaha

Quote for the day

After dinner, Nadia asked me :
"Mommy, do you want a baby brother or baby sister ?"
Since she has been answering a baby brother, I followed what she want, so I answered :"Baby brother"
Nadia :"Baby brother ?"
Mommy : "Yeah, baby brother."
Nadia : "Okay, Daddy will buy a baby brother for you mommy. Then you will get a baby brother."

Another quote for 2 weeks now :
Nadia : "Meow, meow, I am a kitty cat... I am hungry meow meow!!!"

Daddy : "Nadia, let mommy sleep, you are going to go to sleep with Daddy"
Nadia : "Mommy sick.. she vomited in the toilet."

Nadia 's milestone at a month shy from 2.5 years old

Nadia loves anykind of puzzle, but we never gave her floor puzzle. Mom bought her a book, filled with 7 different pictures of puzzles, 9 pieces each.
She needs the basic education at first, but the second time she did it, she managed to do it all by herself, without any help. She kept telling stories or say : "yes...." or "no....." if the puzzle matched, or not matched.
She doesn't like to put it right away on the book, instead, she would do it on the table, and collect all the puzzles she made on the side of the table.

As for Sari... finally she can stand up on her own, after the miracle pill : ZOFRAN was given to her. For the last 2 weeks, she hardly can move or eat, poor Nadia, she even asked her mom to call uncle bill and told him on the phone how much she was sad, she said this on the phone :"uncle bill, I want to come to your house. Mommy is sick, and Daddy is busy.. I cried all day..." On the other hand, since Ammar was bombarded with housework and outside work, he got so close to Nadia because once he got home, Sari just went to bed, crashing, while he would feed nadia, play with Nadia, bathing her, and even put her to bed.... Finally Ammar told Sari to go to her obgyn, sure enough, she almost got an IV, her blood pressure way downhill to only 80/50... and she got tons of antiemetic drug.... thanks to the Insurance, only for 45 pills, they had to pay about $2000 for these miracle pills...!!!!
Nadia has been such a wonderful girl, she kept asking if Mom is okay, are you feeling better and kisses her around, and ask her after she kissed her :"mommy, are you happy like me ?"
I thought about how expensive these pills are, I was thinking, wondering if the insurance will hate Ammar, who is a Hem/Oncologist who always prescribes this medication to his patients after chemotherapy....!!!!
