Chai Kwang Do

Every mondays and wednesdays at Nadia's school, there is a teacher who teaches Chai Kwang Do for preschooler, Nadia was in it, despite of her age just because she listens and follows what the teacher asks her.

38 hours later!!!

The second day without power. I had to clean up all the fridge and freezer, most of the stuff in the refridgerator are all to be thrown. Some stuff in the freezer needed to be thrown. Ammar bought gallons of water, so I tried to clean up our body just like an old style, with soap and towel with just a basin of water. Everyone in the family is depressed. Feeling not clean as usual, of course, that's made the thing even worse. We don't have the emergency old style phone, so we don't have phone line, our batteries on the cell phone are nearly dead. Ammar had to bring the charger to the office and charge his battery there, while mommy went to Nadia's school to charge the battery and made a phone call to the doctor's office for her first nurse phone appointment which they would call mommy home to ask all the questions about the health history and give some instructions about pregnancy. Since we don't have phone, I ended up going to the health center and have a personal interview. It works out... the second child due date is 2/26/2007.
Came back home at around 1 pm, still don't have power.. it's upsetting. Called the electric company, they didn't even know when the light will be back on. So after cleaning up all the fridge and freezer (oh yes, the ice in the freezer is melting, so our hard wood floor is soaked with water, and some of the stain is peeling...argh!@!!!!!), definitely will claim the damage to the insurance.!!!!
Went to Nadia's school and picked her up, the school actually has the gym and the full bathroom, the director's husband, Tom, he offers us to use the bathroom for us to clean ourselves good. We went home, and guess what !!! We have light on again. YAY!!!!
Ammar got home and the electric company called back, telling us that the supervisor still don't know when the light will be on, maybe another 2 hours, and guess what!!! at that time, the power went back on and they didn't even know about it!!! Gee!!!, not even waiting to have dinner first, Ammar went straight to have shower... hahahahah
Mommy and Nadia had shower after ward... wow... cleaning your self with a basin of water and taking a real shower, what a big difference, even Nadia got so happy afterwards, she drank 1.5 glass of chocolate milk.
We went to Meijer to get some milk, and half and half. Nadia enjoyed riding on the horsey and the dinosaurus with just penny for a ride while Daddy buy some stuff.
The house needs serious cleaning.... but we are happy that the power is back on.... exactly after 38 hours.

ELECTRIC OUTAGE... Argh!!!

We are having power outage since we woke up early in the morning yesterday. Our house depends on electricity on every single items, including running water, faucet, toilet, everything works on the electricity, except the stove.
I didn't have a good sleep last night, it was so hot and we woke up this morning, still have power outage.
We think it is really ridiculous they cannot fix whatever the reason for the outage within 24 hours. It's not we are having the tsunami or things like that. It was just 2-3 hours of thunder and rain at 11 pm the night before.
Nadia has been so miserable, she knows something wrong. She told mommy this morning that the house is sick.
She cannot watch movies, or anything, not even bath...
Hope the power will be back soon.

Playdate with Mattheo and Luca

Nadia woke up this morning and said : " My mommy will get me soon!!!" I can hear it from the baby monitor. After drinking her milk, she told me, very gently, looking in my eyes and said : " Mommy, you are my best friend!!"
We went to Gallup Park this morning. It was so much fun, it seems that Mattheo fell in love with Nadia, he kept hugging Nadia, put his arm surround Nadia most of the time, touching and checking her with full affection. Nadia was not used to be treated like that by a real gentleman boy. At first she was a little bit scared, but then she kissed him back and said :"Thank you, Mattheo"
Of course, Nadia's best buddy, Luca asked Nadia to play with him most of the time, he would call her name to play with him. The 3 were so cute together.
It's easy to make toddler tired, I guess. Nadia fell asleep in the car on the way home. Yeah, I got a normal toddler again !! (She usually never sleep in the car, except on vacation).

Big News from our family!!

We just found out that we are pregnant today. We told Nadia and she told us that she wants little brother like Luca.... not Chiara (luca's sister).. oh well, we hope she will get her wish.... let's wait and see... for us, anyone is wonderful... a boy will be great, a girl will be great, too.
Wish us luck with the pregnancy.. it's still too early... and we will update about it soon....
We found out this afternoon and we went to go biking afterwards with Nadia and Nadia had blast playing at the hudson mills metropark.. She made friends with May there on the swing set.. a mixed Chinese-American girl...

Where is my Daddy

Nadia has been asking for her Daddy lately.. Well, Daddy has been so busy, even on Saturday we had to have fun just mommy and Nadia, without Daddy. So today, after waking up in the morning, Nadia was so happy to play with her daddy, still even Daddy was on the phone, she laughed, and played with him..... Mom tried to catch different poses of her climbing up and down the sofa in the sunroom. It was a really beautiful morning. We agreed that the sunroom is the best investment ever!!! We really feel the outside morning breeze and of course the sound of the chirping birds from outside with the convenient of the cozy home...
Nadia has been so close with her Daddy for the past 2 days. I am so happy !!!!
